vdschoor 0 #4 February 12, 2004 Quoteyeah....is the 15mm the one that comes with the rebel? or am i gona have to spend cash on a new lens Cash or plastic.. whatever you want, but it doesn't come with the Rebel. The rebel comes with a 18-55mm lens, which is Ok, but not the best lens out there. Go with fixed, you will not regret it. I got mine off Amazon, no sales tax, no shipping for $399 Iwan
DaGimp 0 #5 February 13, 2004 ok i really dont have the money to buy the rebel and a new lens. So if i gaphers tape the lens at the 18 setting, would it be that much of a diffrence to the 15mm? Would they be compatable enough (18mm setting and the .5 lens) until ihave the $400 to spend on a 15mm?"Professor of Pimpology"~~~Bolas
vdschoor 0 #6 February 13, 2004 The 18mm will work just fine, people are jumping it that way, it's just a little longer (compare to a 30mm lens on a 35mm camera or so) When I used to jump my .5 with the 28mm on my film rebel it worked just fine as well. I just like the fixed lenses a lot better. Iwan
