Vertifly 0 #1 February 3, 2004 Thought I'd just post this in case anyone is interested. That's right, our favorite camera mounting company doesn't exist anymore. B&H are still selling Stroboframes. However, if you really will be needed them in the future, you better get them while you can. There isn't any talk of someone taking over the company and continuing to sell them. I just purchased three of them just in case.
 quade 4 #2 February 3, 2004 Huh? Wanna tell me where you read that? Post a link maybe?
 quade 4 #16 February 5, 2004 Tiffen hasn't returned my emails to them on the subject yet. I had a chat with the folks at Calumet today. Yes, Tiffen is in a bit o' trouble, but they certainly don't seem to be going out of business yet. Tiffen is the the US distributor for Stroboframe, but not directly tied to it and Stroboframe won't necessarily be screwed as a result of any of Tiffens problems. Calumet says they're not really having an issue getting the basic brackets we all use, but they have been having some problems with the more essoteric and specific anti-twist plates for some cameras.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
 benny 0 #17 February 5, 2004 shameless business plug but I no longer work for them so... if you ever need anything obscure and can't find it through some of the larger names, try Thompson Photo Products in Knoxville, TN. Quote Dear Mr. Quade: Thank you for your email. I'm the Product Manager for the Stroboframe bracket line and was very surprised to hear of the rumor that we're no longer in this business. As a matter of fact, we just returned from the PMA show in Las Vegas where we displayed our full line of brackets and just introduced our new Folding Flip bracket. We really appreciate that you took the time to inform us of this rumor and just didn't accept it as fact. You can feel confident that we're not only continuing to supply brackets but we're investing in new products going forward. Feel free to call me at XXX-XXX-XXXX if you have additional questions or concerns. I would interested to hear how this rumor came about. Hopefully, it is not wide spread. Thanks again for your email.
