Atle 0 #1 January 29, 2004 The new digital SLR Nikon D70 is being released in March. Looks like the Canon EOS 300D gets some competition. The price is going to be similar. Here is a comparison chart for the D70 and 300D (and D100) http://www.letsgodigital.org/html/firstlook/nikon/d70/nikon_D70_EN08.html Atle --------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.atledahl.comSee what I'm saying? gus 1 #2 January 29, 2004 Also here. That 144 shot buffer looks very tempting....Do you think it can really maintain 3 fps for 144 shots? GusOutpatientsOnline.com
jmfreefly 0 #3 January 29, 2004 According to dpreview... 3 frame per second (up to 12 consecutive shots with JPEG format, 4 shot with RAW format) Also, it doesn't list a wired remote..
skyfly 0 #4 January 30, 2004 Still keeping the D100 structure- and no remote plug .... no regrets with my 10D - a great tool to get you where you want (and tool is all it is)Be Simple, Be Creative, Bee! Sharon.
cloudseeker2001 0 #5 February 1, 2004 I shot with 35mm Minolta and Nikon(no skydiving photography), but a good friend of mine is a pro photographer and has always used Nikon equipment......He is selling most all of his Nikon gear and converting to Cannon digital. He says Cannon digital is that much better! Might be something to research! skyfly 0 #6 February 1, 2004 I think it's all a matter of opinion/taste/requirements, and mere luck - some find a good canon cam, some find a good nikon cam, and some find bad ones, most people will generalize the brand according to the few models they have encountered. Some will like this more then that, some will like the oposite. I have a Nikon Film SLR, a Nikon Coolpix, and the Canon 10D - only because for each application I find the certain brand more appropriate. I dont think one is "much better" then the other. no need to add to the Canon<>Nikon war... too much alreadyBe Simple, Be Creative, Bee! Sharon.
