slayer21016 2 #2 January 25, 2004 Fuji Reala (CS-100) for print and velvia (RVP-50 or 100F) for slides this is only for sunny outdoor use or with fill flash. Scott
murrays 0 #3 January 25, 2004 Haven't shot film for years but I absolutely loved Fuji Velvia 50....and I see that Scotty still likes it. slayer21016 2 #4 January 25, 2004 Yea i like velvia to and all of my shooting was with film up to late fall 2003 when i got a digital Rebel but the season was over and i'm going to have to wait until spring to go fully digital. thats why my photo page is down because i don't want to spend the money getting all of my good stuff that i shot during 2003 converted to digital and i shot some great stuff at rantoul and a few other places last year but i don't think any one will see them for some time if ever. ffejdraga 0 #5 January 26, 2004 Fuji Velvia 50 is so sweet. I have just tried a couple rolls of Velvia 100, and that was good too. I too have entered the digital realm, and as long as can get the same color saturation from a Nikon Coolpix 5000 as i can with Velvia 50, then I will be happy. jeff D-16906
oldfart 0 #6 January 26, 2004 I'm sorry I wasn't explicit here, but for the record, for 35mm I like the Velvia stock too.I shot the motion picture version of that and shot a 200 foot roll in my old Arri 2 C.Pretty stuff. You guys that shoot motion picture film and I'm curious as to how many are still out there.Kodak or Fuji?I'm assuming that's if it's your choice and a DP isn't dictating the type of stock having to worry about intercutting with the rest of a movie. I know with most everyone shooting digital video and stills these days film is not as common as it was,but I'm sure there are still plenty of 16,s16 and 35 mm motion picture cameras whirring on helmets in freefall. Besides, those electronic shutters can't compete with film overcranking.
Deuce 1 #7 January 26, 2004 Gasson and Finley had some examples of film transferred to video at the Holiday Boogie, and it was very beautiful stuff.
