freeflir29 0 #1 January 24, 2004 Or does anyone have a cheaper and or easier rig? So far my Invertigo X is the only skydiving helmet I have. So I'd like to be able to only jump the still camera when I need it.
linestretch 0 #2 January 24, 2004 As long as the camera has a tri-pod mounting hole (the screw hole at the bottom of the camera), then yes, you can. It should work great. You can get cheaper, but I wouldn't.my pics & stuff!

Deuce 1 #4 January 25, 2004 Yeah Clay, just reinforce the side inside the helmet with some sheet metal, cause when you crank that knob down, you can crack the fiberglass. If you're not taking your camera off to change film on back-to-backs, you don't need a quick release. JP

I'd be doing that too....until I upgrade to one of those snappy digital models that all the cool kids have.

The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
freeflir29 0 #9 January 28, 2004 Quotedoes it have a remote shutter release? Nope......but it wasn't too hard to figure out. Just pop the plastic cover off and experiment with the leads under the button. When you close the path to the right two the shutter fires. Solder on some wires, drill a small hole in the case, run the wires through, and then use some epoxy to hold the wires in place. Easy as that. Then you can either wire on a standard plug or wire a switch directly to the wires.
