They have raw switchs for so cheap I can't justify getting the soldering iron and shrink tubing out.

Right on....I'll do!!! I looked at the Square 1 site and all I saw listed there was stuff with plugs on it. A raw switch is what I need. Well....and some way to MOUNT the damn thing....:D

See if Cannon has a corded remote

That model wouldn't accept any sort of remote. That problem is already taken care of though. I took the camera apart and did some soldering. Now I have 2 bare wires hanging out that, when touched together, fire the shutter. I just need a nice switch to connect to those wires.

Conceptus no longer makes the "RAW" switches, due to ease of manufacturing, and having to stock only one inventory. Conceptus's recomendation if to buy a "plugged" switch (they were always the same price as the "RAW" switches) and lop off the end you don't need.

You're probably better off buying one off the shelf from Conceptus, but if you want some ideas for a custom switch, visit:

I didn't like the stock switches, so I made one (many) myself. I always found myself wasting shots with bite switches, and the tongue switches make me move my tongue in abnormal positions. My "mouthpiece design" has been used quite successfully for years and utilizes the natural movement of your tongue toward the roof of your mouth while protecting your teeth as well.

A buddy of mine and I used to buy the cheap little cameras from wal-mart and splice in a momentary switch that we got from radio shack. Worked great and was CHEAP! If your camera has the built in flash be careful of the capacitor, it'll knock the piss out of you while soldering:P.
