freakyflyr11 0 #1 March 29, 2003 does anybody know how the crossfire 2 compairs to the first cross fire.ie diving charistics i know the original likes to flattn out quickly right after diving.does the crossfire 2 do that or will it stay in a dive longer..thanks freaky
Canuck 0 #2 March 29, 2003 Have you flown an original Crossfire?!! They don't flatten out quickly at all, nothing like a Stiletto or Cobalt. For a non-crossbraced canopy, they have a very long recovery arc. Anybody who jumps one, and has also jumped a Stiletto and/or Cobalt will attest to that. I haven't jumped a Crossfire 2, but according to all the guys (and one girl) on the Swiss team (Icarus sponsored) it's even more of a diver. freakyflyr11 0 #3 March 29, 2003 i have a cobalt and the crossfire's ive jumped have a shorter recovery arc.but the crossfire2 dives better than the crossfire.im trying to decide between a used crossfire or a crossfire2 because i dont like my cobalt. Did you fly a crossfire with the mod? Mine wasn't affected so it didn't need the mod, and it has a long recovery arch. The crossfire 2 had a longer one I think (only put a few jumps on one), and it was more sensitive to harness imput and such. Now if only I could sell my 1 so I can upsize and buy a 2. Fly it like you stole it!
trigger 0 #5 March 29, 2003 I've jumped both crossfire1&2.the main differencss between the two IMHO is that the 2 is A.much more sensitive to harness input.B.produces v.fast toggle turns[comparable to stilletto]C.both canopies have long recovery arcs.Presently jumping a CF2 at 1.7..CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER. skygod7777 0 #8 March 30, 2003 Quoteim going to get a cross fire2 not to stop you from getting the xfire2 at all, but you should demo it first. i really love the xfire2. i have jumped a few different sizes, down to 89, and the 89 could compete with swoops of the fx for sure, but without the exta "baggage" of a crossed braced. it does great in line twist, nice and solid. later

Yoshi 0 #11 April 4, 2003 I am a huge fan of icarus...my crossfire 1 was nice, but I had the mod and it was a little stiff (search previous posts to get more details) the crossfire 2's that I have jumped (down to a 105) are awesome...do a search in swooping and in here and you will see alot that has been said on it -yoshi_________________________________________ this space for rent.
