johnny1488 1 #1 January 13, 2004 Does anyone have any experience using what appears to be a new line of cameras put out by sony called HC? Look kind of similar in set-up and function to the smaller trv models but about 5 or 6 ounces lighter. Tried a search, found nothing. Thanks. here's what I was looking at Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
quade 4 #2 January 13, 2004 They were -JUST- announced at CES in Las Vegas and I don't believe they're actually available as of this time. You -can- preorder them on the Sony web site, but I wouldn't even consider that until I had laid my hands on one first. I have -some- concerns about the 1/16th inch imager and what that might do to current wide angle lenses. I have some vague concerns over some other stuff that we have no idea about until we lay our hands on one, like . . . how does it load, does it use the old standard ring-tip-sleeve to RCA video cable or the new and proprietary (slightly evil) cable that Sony has developed. All in all, I'd wait until a few people have actually touched one and played with one on the ground at least before even considering it.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
riggerrob 643 #3 January 13, 2004 At 4.5 inches long, the HC is right at the upper size limit for hand-mount.
