tonyhays 86 #1 January 12, 2004 Has anyone had any problem with the batteries of a canon rebel 2000 quitting on you? My indicator at the beginning of the day showed full battery power, then quit on a video jump“That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.”
jimmytavino 16 #2 January 12, 2004 Eos 2000 35 mm film camera???? .........Yes. The batteries can wear out pretty quickly... It takes 2 CR2 batteries right???.. I too found them quitting when least expected... It might help to 1.remove them completely from the camera, when it's not in use...and 2. be sure to have a back up pair on hand..... they don't seem to last long......... Nice camera but rechargeable batteries would have been a good idea....
vdschoor 0 #3 January 13, 2004 I've had that happen too, but what did the trick for me is switching it off in between jumps, or removing the tongue switch from the camera. The tongue switch for some reason continuously tries to focus the camera, so keeps it operational which wears out your batteries faster. Thanks, Iwan
