sducoach 0 #1 January 9, 2004 My PC9 is down for another week. I need to pick up a replacement for this weekend that will fit into a Bonehead box on an optik. Anyone know if a Sony TRV22, TRV33, or TRV19 will fit? Got to buy one tomorrow. Thanks and PM if you can for a quick one. Blues, J.E.James 4:

sducoach 0 #3 January 9, 2004 Thanks LT! I went to Bonehead's web first however, I had problems there. This box is one of the older ones with the foam top cover and clips. The dimensions should help though. Really appreciate it. Blues, J.E.James 4:
riggerrob 643 #4 January 10, 2004 Sorry dude, but SONY's TRV 22 has a completely shape than their PC9. TRV 22 is low and long compared with the high and tight PC9. The more logical replacement for a PC is the current PC101. Both the PC101 and TRV22 are popular with freefall videographers (both hand-mount and outside videographers). Though TRV22 offers the best dollar per pixel value, it does not fit in older PC-style D-boxes.
sducoach 0 #5 January 14, 2004 Yeah, Thanks Dude. Bought another TRV19. No need for the memory stick or color view finder. Had to put the old "L" bracket back on for the week. Blues, J.E.James 4:

Guess you didn't need the "in" part of the "AV in/out" plug either... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
sducoach 0 #7 January 14, 2004 Love ya!!!! You would not believe all the bull that's going on with my PC9. Bent the carriage shooting a highschool foot ball gave for a friends son. Took it to a "Sony Authorized" repair station. It took three weeks to get it back due to "back order". When I picked it up all seemed well until I attempted to play a tape in it I had previously recorded..... pixel distortion. Took it back and told them there was an alignment problem with the new carriage. Picked it up a week later was told it was within specs. Still would not play back tapes recorded in the PC9 or any of the other three sony camera I have. Convinced the shop they had to fix the alignment. Two weeks ago they were supposed to have it ready but, "there are three blown fuses in the camera and we have to order them, be another week"!!!!! Had to buy the trv19 just to shoot my aff students. Giving it to my wife when the pc9 comes back,,,, if it ever does! I'm too old to be teased!!!!! Blues, J.E.James 4:
ltdiver 3 #8 January 14, 2004 Welcome to the frustration! I bought a used Sony TRV10 that came to me in perfect working order (they said).... The case looked immaculate, and it recorded and played back just fine (never use the audio plug in when recording skydiving anyway)... Then decided to use it for students. Ya know, the interview on the ground.... The camera recorded a distinct fluttering sound on the tape! It reproduced every time! So, sent it to a Sony authorized service center to fix it (recommended by a friend of mine....plus it was on Sony's web site as a repair station). They replaced the drum (said that was the problem). It took 3 months to get back to me! IT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM!! Sent it back with the promise from them that they would expedite my camera's service this time. THEY'VE NOW HAD IT FOR SIX MONTHS!! I broke down and bought a TRV22 a few months ago and am going to file a claim against this repair station now. For those of you in the LA area....DO NOT SEND YOUR CAMERA TO "ELECTRONIC DESIGN AND SERVICE" in Glendale.
