newshooter12 0 #2 January 8, 2004 what file type did you encode it as? Mpeg2? and what was the bitrate set at?
skyfly 0 #3 January 8, 2004 what did you export it too? AVI ? quicktime? at what compression (sounds to me like no compression at all) just for the record - 1min of DV quality footage is about 200MB - and NO - you can't put that on a DVD - you need to compress it to MPEG2 format which can go to about an Hour for 2 Gig (depends on the compression you use)Be Simple, Be Creative, Bee! blazetailman 0 #4 January 8, 2004 The American Boogie DVD I did was exported to a avi with DV compression was 6.5gigs, at 30mins long. The compressed mpeg file for dvd was 1.8 gigs. I think your files is the correct compression if it is a DV compressed avi. You just need to compress it a mpg for dvd or vcd file. YOu should be able to export it as a vcd from primeire. Its in the file menu somewhere. I'm burning more dvds right now and can't open primeire. Post again later if you are having problems. Man I misspelled primeire badly.www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
nacmacfeegle 0 #5 January 8, 2004 5 mins at around a gig is about right for full frame dv. If you need to burn to VCD or even SVCD I'd suggest using Tsunami to re-render all the footage to a suitable format. Get it free here...http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_main.html The version I have used previously is earlier but it makes wee shiny discs just fine.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
