oldfart 0 #1 January 5, 2004 Anyone ever jump this camera? It's a super 16mm camera that takes a 200 foot load.Seems perfect for skydive cinematography. Oldfart
ParaShoot 0 #2 January 5, 2004 We will use 2 of these cameras in Thailand for the World Team event. Great camera and relative light weight. I even prefer it above a PhotoSonics 1VN. www.theworldteam.com

oldfart 0 #7 January 8, 2004 For standard 16mm any lightweight camera capable of multi speeds and interchangeable lenses would suit fine. It's been ages since I rented film gear, and then, not for freefall.I used to rent out of Photomart in Orlando and Panavsion of Florida, also in Orlando when I needed an Arri 16 SR or Aaton XTR. Alan Gordon in LA rents Bell and Howell GSAPs (gun cameras 16mm, takes a 50 foot magazine and "C" mount lenses) or used to anyway. The Aaton A Minima seems ideal for freefall and it's super 16, which is the format where 16 is going due to the advent of HDTV.Many of the older cameras can be converted. I like to window shop on ebay for older film cameras.I've only ever jumped with a 35mm still camera and a super 8 Bealieu 4008ZM with a 10mm lens, but some of the cameras I've considered were besides the A-minima are the Kodak K-100 and CP 16 GSMO (with a 100 foot mag and a fixed lens).Anyone ever jump these two cameras?
