Squeak 17 #1 November 24, 2003 OK I saw for the 1st time the new TVR22 on the weekend, it's looking like the camera I will get (much cheaper than a PC). My question has anyone side mounted a stills camera in Portrait format, with a small TRV on top mount. I have a Gath helmet with reinforced straps, and I was going to top mount thr TRV, so this leaves NO room for a stills camera? You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! quade 4 #2 November 24, 2003 The Gath is going to have a tendancy to wiggle around a bit. That's not to say that you can't use it, but just know that since it doesn't clamp down on your head like a purpose built camera helmet, it will wiggle and your video footage might have a tendancy to make people ill. Adding a still camera to the Gath and video . . . just not something I'd consider. The shell of the Gath always seems kinda flimsy to me. That said, people have built all kinds of stuff on top of ProTecs, so WTFDIK?quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

A damned site more than me Paul After careful re-consideration (read 3 seconds) I realised the stupidity of a side mount Stills camera. Nothing likre a bit of riser slap to F&*ck up a $1200 camera set up. I can see it now canopy inflates as I watch my Pentax and expensive lens float not so gently to the ground I'll stick with the top mount TRV until I can finance a decent helmetYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS!
