skydiving movies.com

Recommended Posts

After I have downloaded from skydiving movies.com, I have tried to capture the footage on premier to then put onto tape, is this possible. I have not been able to do it so far. Any ideas anyone. what settings??. I can get it on the timelines but when I play it on the pc the picture skips and jumps and then locks up. A real mess.
thanks spencer.

You'll have to render it to a compatible Pal avi file, then export from there.
The pooter is stuttering because it is trying convert and play back at the same time.
Here's what I might suggest, drop a clip onto the timeline, chop it down to something manageable, say 15-30 seconds.
Set the project preferences to a file system compatible with your target deck/cam (probably click the preset called "paldv" or similar), and save the file as an avi.
open a new project , then drop the new file onto the timeline and see if the result are acceptable. Its likley that they won't be as many of the files you download are compressed to hell, so when you blow them up to full res, they look shiitty. There will also probably be issues with frame rates, most downloads do not have a frame rate of 25 fps which PAL uses. The video might look jerky.

In my mind this rigmarole simply isn't worth it as the final quality is pants.
Your mileage may vary, good luck
