AntiPinkChrissy 0 #1 November 4, 2003 I am looking to buy a camera helmet, I really like Boneheads half-rak, especially how you can adjust the helmet around the crown of your head. Does any other company make something that is comparable to the half-rak since Bonehead doesn't make them anymore? ~La La Gang Member #2~
diablopilot 2 #2 November 4, 2003 Try the "Gun-Rak" losely based on the Gunner. It has many of the same features in a much nicer design.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
AntiPinkChrissy 0 #4 November 4, 2003 QuoteRAWA.... I did a search on RAWA and it seems to have gotten some pretty good reviews. From the sounds of it it just isn't made out of as durable material as Bonehead uses. But for me, I wear a helmet to hold my audible and keep my hear from tangling up Anyone else have any suggestions? ~La La Gang Member #2~
Deuce 1 #5 November 4, 2003 That gunrack is pretty much a half rack. So far I like my Aviator and Hawkeye LT the best.

Anyone jump one? ~La La Gang Member #2~
 marks 0 #7 November 4, 2003 RAWA it looks like it is carbon fiber... it is lighter than a bonehead helmate,,.. and it looks like the material is a little thinner... but in no way do i think any of this is a bad thing.. i love mine and my roomate loves his.. every person that ive talked to that has one loves theres.... it was difficult to order though.. i had to get a freind that spoke portuguese to order it for me... the price was good and it comes with the camera box already on it.... i beleive you can get it without the camera box but am not sure.... the streangth of the material is of no concern to me.. it seems pleanty strong enough... It also can be for side and top full platform. That might be an option."It's not the size of the dog in the fight, It's the size of the fight in the dog!" The Gun-Rak looks like a nice substitute for the Bat-Rak. I think it is nicer than the Bat-Rak,. I have also never seen the point of the Bat-Rak, the Gun-Rak, or for that matter the Flat Top Narrow. If you want to step up from just wearing a camera to flying camera I think the Flat Top Pro gives the widest number of options. Enough real estate up top to warrent it's own zip code, and flat enough sides that I've seen side mount cameras installed (don't like em'). The best fitting, and most steady of the entire Bonehead line. But that's one yahoo's (me) opinion. Quade? Tell us about the Bat-Rak, and why it's so cool. Edit to add: I've seen and jumped the RAWA, I don't like the workmanship, and I'd rather suuport a US company. But again, just my opinion.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. I want to eventually have a whole 'work' helmet set up, but I don't want that much real estate on my head to start off! I can definately see why the flat top pro would work well for camera flyers. ~La La Gang Member #2~
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
