czechbase 0 #1 November 4, 2003 Hi all, I have a big problem when I try and do a frame grab from Adobe Premier. The image looks fine on the computer screen, but as soon as I click on file, the image starts to shake. Then when I click export frame, save and open image, the image is blur.. Is it due to my PC3 Sony, perhaps the pixels aren't as many as the newer video cameras or is it because the image is moving too much (like in freeflying)? Strange, as when I pause the frame, the image is really clear and a print screen doesn't work too well either. Thanks for the help in advance.www.motavi.com

nacmacfeegle 0 #5 November 4, 2003 "Is it difficult to deinterlace it using Photoshop?" Its easy-peasy, lemon squeezy. Make sure your 'export settings' in Premiere have deinterlace switched off. Save the frame, file-export-frame-(ctrl shift F -I think)as a file, then open it in Photoshop, click filters, video, deinterlace, experiment with fields if you have to...edit to add...Quade's link pretty much covers this side of things. I get varied results, but a frame that looks okay in the video preview window of premiere will generally be okay. Its often worth frame advancing back and forth around your pic frame, to see what sharpens up.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. czechbase 0 #6 November 4, 2003 Yup, you are right! It's easy! I do face some problems sometimes converting from GIF to JPEG, I think I need to export to TIFF file instead. I get varied results from interlacing odd and even but overall it's a much better picture. Thanks again!! www.motavi.com
