swooper120 0 #1 October 28, 2003 I just purchased this camera for stills..mostly tandem and RW photography.. Canon USA Rebel 2000 Canon 35-80mm Lens As I search previous posts, I see alot of info on the 28mm and 24mm...which is fine...but can some explain to me, with the above camera and lens, do I need EF or FD f2.8 lens (24 or 28) ? Mounting with a .5 - .42 wide angle video lense Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Miami 0 #2 October 28, 2003 You will need an EF lens (made by Canon). If you jump with a .42 you will want the 24mm lens, and if you jump a .5 you will want the 28mm. Hope this helps.Miami
dragon2 2 #3 October 28, 2003 EF (or AF, for not-canon-lenses) are the autofocus lenses that fit on EOS camera's. FD is manual-only and is for canon's older non-EOS camera's. ciel bleu, Saskia
bmcd308 0 #4 October 30, 2003 EF = Electro Focus - Canon's name for its autofocus lenses. If I were you I'd get the 28. Not as wide, but tons cheaper. ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

RevJim 0 #6 November 1, 2003 Perspective shots. Sabre is a video cap from a TRV19 using the Sony .6 lens. Sabre24mm is on the same jump, same setup, using a 24mm Sigma on an EOS 850. Subtle differences, but enough to show that a 28mm is not going to be even close to your lens. It's your life, live it!
