gus 1 #1 October 27, 2003 Hello gurus! I have a video file that I'm trying to output back on to my camcorder. If I play the video (in Windows Media Player for example) it occasionally 'stutters' when it changes from one scene to another - the music cuts out for a split second. When I'm outputting to my camcorder and it does this 'stutter' thing it craps up the recording. It's reeeeeeally annoying . What I'm wondering is whether there's something wrong with the file and whether anyone knows of any tools that can check the file and fix the broken bits? Any other suggestions are most welcome. Thanks, GusOutpatientsOnline.com
nacmacfeegle 0 #2 October 27, 2003 Sounds like dropped frames to me Gus, assuming the clip is at 25fps compatible with PAL. Try this. Put the clip on the timeline. Apply an innoccuos filter such as colour correction with minimal changes. Make sure the output is set up to deliver PAL DV in a format compatible with your capture card, cam etc.... Render it, or to save time, render the sections of the file that are 'corrupt', and see what happens.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
