Sony DCR-PC8E finding a wide angle lens

I have a sony DCR-PC8E and im a bit confused, on the front of the camcorder it says it is 33mm fit, but there are no 33mm thread fits on a wide angle lens? Im trying to get a 0.45x wide angle, does anyone have any suggestions for my prob.

Looks like a great lens but comes in size 30mm or 37mm and im still not sure as on the front of the camcorder is written 1.7/3.3-33 which at the moment im taking as a 33mm fit and both the diamond lenses arent compatible with this

Well, I found something at Sony's site Here, but the 1.7 refers to the diafragm, and the 3.33-33 refers to the focal Distance.

In the site you can see many lenses for your cam, but I would Assume, that is the European version.

That 33 on the camera refers to something else, it's definately a 30mm thread.

That seems to have cleared that one up then 30mm it is. Time to go shopping for a lens, many thanks.
