kallend 2,114 #1 October 24, 2003 Ok - I got bundled burner software with Premiere (DVDit LE) and with my Sony burner (Sonic's MyDVD). Both seem a bit flaky. Any recommendations? How is Nero for DVDs and VCDs? Are the Roxio products any good?... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
LouDiamond 1 #2 October 24, 2003 QuoteHow is Nero for DVDs and VCDs? Are the Roxio products any good? Depends on what you want to do. Most people like NERO for tweaking and more in depth stuff. But if all your doing is burning or making copies Roxio works pretty good for just simple click and burn jobs. I use the Roxio software for just about everything with no troubles."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
blazetailman 0 #3 October 25, 2003 I'm using Ulead DVD workshop and like it for the basics. Nothing fanciny in it but I've done some menus that look pretty good. It simple to use and insert chapters as well. Once you convert the avi's to mpeg the first 30min dvd copy takes 20 mins then each copy after it takes about 5mins. Real nice. I have a pretty fast computer, so I think that speeds the conversion process up. I would recommend this software for fisrt time users. I'm getting Adobe Encore a more robust dvd authoring program. I'll let everyone know how it is once it arrives.www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
flyingfrog 0 #4 October 25, 2003 I've got the Sonic MYDVD as well with my burner, and I'm using it currently.. it is easy to use and you can do quite quick menus and starting screens. If you are looking for something more professional, I suggest to have a look at Adobe Encore DVD which is working close together with the other Adobe Products like Premiere

A bunch of reviews of V6 were quite negative about bugs in the software for "Nero Express".... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. skychic68 0 #8 November 3, 2003 Hi, I'm using a ULEAD product as well. Am starting to look into burners. Might I ask what type of burner you have and if it gives you any problems? Que sera sera
skyfly 0 #9 November 4, 2003 I used to work with Sonic DVD Producer which works really well, has an easy interface, but gives you more control over the DVD then the lower-level Sonic products (mydvd...) I recently replaced Producer with Adobe Encore because of its integration with Photoshop, and it is remarkably convenient and straight-out if you are a photoshop user. I would highly recommend both of these applications. you can test drive Adobe encore (www.adobe.com), you can download a trial version of the app.Be Simple, Be Creative, Bee! Sharon.
