Video and Still Lens for Tandems

I assume you're talking about 35mm... (without the .6 multiplier for stills)...

And my Sony .6 for video is a little wider than any other .5

You want close for stills on Tandem with 35mm so you can enlarge them. If you have a 10D, you can afford to go wider(my sigma 15=24(in 35mm)) and then crop the photos before enlarging.

I like the full frame of floppy face I get when i dock and spin a tandem :)
