diverds 0 #2 October 5, 2003 Your are going to need a capture card with analog in. Some of the primary capture card manufacturers are Canopus, Matrox and Pinnacle. All their capture cards have firewire and most of them have at least some analog input and output plugs. Hope this helps. Skydive Radio

I only know it works in Primere, but assume it works in Final cut and other programs. The only other assumption is if your camera allows firewire inout/out put thru to composite video. I'm using a Sony TRV27 and PDx10 which works fine. This is what you do: Leave your camera connected to the computer thru firewire and on. connect the rca or svhs cables to a vcr or monitor. Playback on the timeline is then run thru the camera to the screen. The video on the computer is choppy with no audio, but plays smooth on the monitor with sound. That's it. I do this at the final stages of my editing to proof the video and see if everything looks fine. Simply turn off the camera to edit on the computer if you want or just leave as is and edit to the tv monitor on your desktop. Stubbs never replied to me but I think this is what he was asking.www.canopyflightcenter.com www.skydivesac.com www.guanofreefly.com
 diverds 0 #8 October 9, 2003 I believe he said his camera does not have dv in. If he can not use firewire he is left with buying a capture card that supports analog in. But still - compared to a DV camera, it's peanuts. so go and have some.Be Simple, Be Creative, Bee! Sharon.
