webracer 0 #1 October 4, 2003 Just want to let everyone know I am enjoying my IP55s. I have one for skydiving, and another for my various travels. It is great for skydiving, and overcoming the incompatibility with miniDV has not been a problem. I do wish that Adobe would get off their butt and support microMV for Premiere though, it is somewhat hasslesome to go through Movieshaker first, then to Premiere 6.5. I have a system that works now, but going direct would be easier. I'm thinking about StudioQuartet also, as it has direct capture. Anyone use it? grega 0 #2 October 6, 2003 On which helmet do you have it? i guess normal dboxes are too big. I'm planing on buying IP7, if i hear enough good reasons for it."George just lucky i guess!"
alain 0 #3 October 6, 2003 my FF training buddy is using an IP5 and he does archive the rush on cheap DV tapes (via Svideo analog port) with an old PC1 unusable for shooting coz lens got snaped by a riser . Once on DV tape, it's easily workable on premiere or whatever classic software. the quality is as good as a PC6/8/9. I get the shots on my PC101 without troubles as well. webracer 0 #4 October 6, 2003 I am using it topmount on a Bonehead Optik. The IP5 or IP7 are suitable for sidemount. The IP5 does not have a LANC port, so no cameye.Troy I am now free to exercise my downward mobility.
