andy2 0 #1 September 27, 2003 I have a container that would be suitable for belly flying, would it also be suitable for flying camera videoing tandems? I know a lot of people like to flip over into a sit to get the opening, but what else would the container have to withstand that it doesnt while flying RW stylee? Thanks! --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
D22369 0 #2 September 28, 2003 If you only flip to your back or a sit for a few seconds then any container should be fine, make sure that if you have velcro anywhere that it is in good shape.. I have used (years ago) leg mounted pc's.... Hell.........I used them for freeflying......(didnt know any better) Rule #1..........velcro in good shape.. Rule #2..........see rule # 1 RoyThey say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
riggerrob 643 #3 September 30, 2003 Any rig that is well-maintained will do. If you are not willing to put the money into maintenance, then buy something new that is advertised as "freefly friendly." It will cost you the same amount in the long run. Signed, sarcastic rigger
Pendejo 0 #4 October 2, 2003 Most containers will work fine for shooting tandems. Be aware that there are some deployment systems that are more "Camera suit" friendly than others. I used to jump a pull out (and still would if I didn't shoot with wings), I had serious deployment issues, i.e. riser strikes and so on. A pull out will work with wings, but be VERY aware at pull time. Pendejo Pendejo He who swoops the ditch and does not get out buys the BEER!!
