LouDiamond 1 #1 September 18, 2003 The current news stand edition has a cover shot of laptops for editing and one of the screen shots is of skydivers. Further into the mag is an ad for royalty free footage and the ad has a freestylist in the sunset. It appears that skydiving has started to make a mark in the marketing of editing equipment."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
newshooter12 0 #2 September 18, 2003 Ever seen an add in some of those magazines for Panasonic cameras with a formation or RW team on the flip-out LCD screens? I've noticed it there too. I just saw a shot in a promo for the Food Network. The National Geographic Channel has some shots of people under canopy and base jumps in some of their opens/promos.matt

DVC (systems builders) in Brighton here in the UK have been using screen shots of our Red Devils (think GKs on a budget) for a couple of years, certainly since about 99. The magazine 'Computer Video' have done a couple of articles on using NLE suites on DZs etc, and "Camcorder User" has also done a few articles on NLE and filming skydives, again with our Red Freds featuring heavily....-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
