dmace 0 #1 July 14, 2003 Just got my new FF2 and though I'd share it all with you Can't wait to jump it this weekend
jsyslo 0 #2 July 14, 2003 Excellent, thanks for the pics...Im eagerly awaiting my FF2 also. It looks great, would love an update after you jump :). Did you get the Cameye? How does the helmet fit? Thats the first Ive seen of the quick release. Its looks great, man! Congratts!!Blue Skies!
dmace 0 #3 July 14, 2003 No I didn't get the Cameye as I was trying to cut down the ££'s! (the cutaway system cost another £65) I'm not too bothered by just reaching behind and switching it on myself as I will be just fun jumping with it and not doing any chargable filming for the forseeable future. Helmet fits snug and comfortably, will tell you more when I've jumped it!
spencer 0 #4 July 15, 2003 I take the ring release system chin cup comes loose and you have to fit . What happen's to the excess plastic ratchet stap?, do you have to cut it to size, and is the release system easy to fit to the helmet??.
flyingfrog 0 #5 July 15, 2003 Are you able to adjust your camera angle for different flying positions...? Thinking about filming head down need another angle than filming a tandem or track dive.
jsyslo 0 #6 July 15, 2003 That another great question. I dont think that the bracket is adjustable, maybe someone who owns one can comment. Im sure that your concern is correct. I can imagine the angles being diff between RW and HD. Hmmmm....Blue Skies!
spencer 0 #7 July 17, 2003 Got my FF2 today, I've put a pc101 with a diamond .03 in it. About 8mm of the diamond sticks out of the box, far less than any other lens. I can't see any way to ajust the camera angle, but with the .03 it will take some doing to miss the shot. K2 are on to a winner with the 3ring cutaway system . I had the cameye fitted by them , a very neat job. The only thing on the outside of the helmet is the tiny little red switch. eddie.
gus 1 #8 July 17, 2003 With such a wide angle lense so flush with the helmet (ie the front of the lense is a fair bit behind the 'forehead' of the helmet) can you see the helmet when you're filming? I use a 0.5 kenko which sticks out about an inch but would like a 0.3 as well. GusOutpatientsOnline.com
dmace 0 #9 July 17, 2003 From what I can see you can tilt the bracket a little, maybe something like 6mm upwards from a fully "horizontal position". Yep, the cutaway chin cup comes separate but it is pretty easy to attach once you've adjusted it for your chin, just need an Allen key. The excess rachet strap you have to cut down to size after fitting it
spencer 0 #10 July 17, 2003 No there is no helmet showing with the .03 lens.

mountainman 0 #13 August 4, 2003 Wow. That helmet is very cool looking. Looks like they are doing a good thing by putting the cut away option up there. It beats making your own if you aren't very apt to those types of things. Congrats !http://www.brandonandlaura.com
alain 0 #14 August 25, 2003 'got a FFX: can't adjust the bracket angle but you can easily move the helmet arround your head to get the +/- 15 degrees nedded. I do that, no problems. have a look at my FFX's review if you're interested in what I think about it Alain

skydivejersey 0 #16 August 26, 2003 Jumped my FF2 for the first time this weekend. I have a Diamond 0.3 on it and could just see a little bit of the helmet in the bottom left but it wasn't a major inconvience. Overall very happy with my new baby!Al. WrongWay 0 #17 August 28, 2003 Hey, the FF2 is a great helmet. I'm a dealer for 2kComposites, and I also have an FF2. Good stuff eh? Just a secret, 2k is coming out with something new. It hasn't been named yet, but it's a lot like Bonehead's Flat Top Pro. You don't know anything about it yet. Glad you're happy with your helmets guys!!! jsyslo 0 #18 August 28, 2003 Cant wait to get mine...Just got an email from Ram, my helmet hasnt shipped yet. Its been 7 weeks now, really chompin at the bit to get started!! The extra wait is no biggie, gonna wait for 200 jumps before flying the camera. Woohoooo! I dont suppose you can post a couple of pics of the cutaway handle side of the helmet? Id love to see what that winds up lookin like. I ordered mine fitted for a PC109, but cant get it anymore. Im about to order a PC105, hope I dont have too much trouble with the fit. Should be OK....Blue Skies!
