ltdiver 3 #27 May 28, 2003 QuoteWell, it seems like it would be prudent if we ever got to the Olympic level of stuff -- doesn't it? And that's where this thread's discussion is headed. If Nat's champions got there by ill means, then they'd not be representing our country (USA) with a true raw score talent. Same for other countries who qualify for the World Stage. Why let it start in the lower levels, only to creep upwards with that team's mentality later... If Nat's has to put security in place now, shame on us. But if it is needed, then it will be our fault. I support banning all team members who are caught in this action. Even in the Intermediate or Rookie divisions. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
nacmacfeegle 0 #28 May 29, 2003 I'm guessing that if skydiving gets Olympic status, and I sincerely hope it does, the chances are that live judging via air to ground transmission would be deployed for everything except the canopy disciplines (swooping and accuracy). Lori hit the nail on the head, the only people who can conduct this 'cheating' are the camera fliers, so if WE keep it clean, life will be simple.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
