ltdiver 3 #2 April 17, 2003 QuoteWe supply a tough, light, stylish helmet of dual composition woven glass and polyester composite at the price of a floppy polythene surfing helmet Ok, so I'm not an expert on materials here, but this combination seems a bit different to me. Care to elaborate a bit more on this? Oh, and btw, the web page 'locks' you in, so you can't return BACK to your previously view pages (like when I tried to come back to this page and reply to you...). REALLY annoying feature. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
AggieDave 6 #3 April 17, 2003 If you clicked on the link, then you wouldn't have gotten back anyways, since it spawns a new browser window, leaving this window open behind it.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Care to elaborate a bit more on this? Glass an polyester is cheaper but also not as though as carbonfibre and epoxy. On the other side if a manufacturer uses carbonfibre but makes it so thin that it leaves holes where you can see the light through the shell of the helmet as with my bonehead i am not sure how much better carbon fibre still is. In any case it is possible to build a much lighter helmet with carbon fibre if done properly. In the end it is as always, you get what you pay for.If it does not cost anything you are the product.
