rredman 0 #1 April 2, 2003 I thought I saw somewhere an altitude warning light that attaches to a protrack or prodytter? I have searched through Paragear and haven't been able to locate one. I also checked with Larsen & Brusgard, and they don't have one. Thanks, Ross
nacmacfeegle 0 #2 April 2, 2003 They used to do them for the original dytters, they also had a wee gismo that would interrupt your walkman at one point. I'm pretty sure Timeout have an LED port on their latest model. I'm not sure if they are still doing the LED thing. Googled with no luck. I'm guessing it can't be that complex a thing to make yourself.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. rredman 0 #5 April 2, 2003 Thanks Guys, I did some more detailed googling and found something callled "Light Track". I'll let you know if it still exists. Itès supposed tp work with both pro track and pro dytter.
quade 4 #6 April 2, 2003 The Light Track, to date, doesn't exist. Don't hold your breath waiting for it either. L&B has had this on the FAR back burner for at least 4 years now. They're concentrating on customer service and basic product improvement.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

Interesting, as their customer service is utterly fantastic and their products rock; reading between the lines I would say theat means they aren't investing in new developments, which is a shame.Rich M

Zenister 0 #9 April 3, 2003 I'd love something like this, so much that if i had the extra time i would be taking apart (a spare) protrac/proditter to try and build one myself.. i asked some of our hardware engineers about a hud type system (we make several) but the costs would be prohibitive for skydiving the way we do things..I just want a simple colored display set to your warning altitudes..____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. From everything I have heard about L&B's customer service, just call them and tell them your Light Track fell out of your helmet and you lost it. They will send you a new one at no cost.Shit happens.
