Sony PC9 discontinued?

Hi.

I've owned a European Sony PC9 for a year or so but now that I've moved to the US I need to replace it with an NTSC equivalent.

My camera helmet is made for a PC9 and my problem is that the PC9 seems to have been discontinued by Sony...

Does anyone know of either an equivalent to the PC9 that is the same size and that will perform similarly?

You could always hit Ebay and get a PC9, or you could get a PC101.

I considered the 101 but I'm thinking about getting an Ariel Focus "roll cage" and they don't make a cage that fits the 101...

I did a google search for the Sony PC9 and came up with several listings showing it for sale. I'm sure there are still some new ones out there that can be had without the dangers of eBay.

PC8 might be exactly the same size as PC9... not sure Sony has an NTSC model though...

The PC8 is definately exactly the same size as the PC9, infact I think it's identical just without the memory stick.

I think the PC6 is identical to the PC 9 without a memory stick. Could be confused though!!
I was once told that Sony build 5000 of each consumer model before releasing a new one.
