iam 0 #1 January 21, 2003 I'm not sure if i will be able to explain this very well, but here goes. I have been playing around with Vegas and Studio editing software, and i would like to be able to play and render some of my footage in reverse, i.e. the jumper going back into the aircraft! Firstly...is it possible with this software, and secondly, if it is.....how??? Thanks Ian"Don't ever knock on deaths door, just ring the bell and run away - it really pisses him off"
freekflyguy 0 #2 January 22, 2003 This is really easy in Vegas. 1. Right mouse click on the clip you want to reverse. 2. Selece "Insert/Remove Velocity envelope. 3. You will see a blue line runing along the centre of the clip. 4. Left click and hold on the blue line and drag it down so the velocity of the clip reads - 100. This will play the clip in reverse at full speed. 5. To slow the clip down in forward or reverse, set the velotity to a smaller %age (50% = Foward at 1/2 speed, -50% = backwards at 1/2 speed. 6. You must also increase/decrease the length of the clip to take into account the speed. 7. You do this by Left clicking on the edge of the clip and draging it left or right to increase/decrease the length. 8. If you change the speed of the clip you will need to "Resample" the clip to reduce flicker. This is done by Right clicking on the clip and selecting "Switches - Resample" This gives a smoother video. 9. You can add points to the velocity envelope by double clicking on it, right clicking on a point will allow you to select "Set To" which gives better controll over %age than dragging. I hope that helps BuzzIt's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Billy 0 #5 January 23, 2003 Is there anyway to do this with Pinnacle 8?? Natural Born FlyerZ.com
freekflyguy 0 #6 January 23, 2003 Probably, but I'm a Vegas convert. VV3 is sooooooo easy to use as long as you RTFM. I have tried Prem and MSP, they suck in comparison. BuzzIt's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
