mountainman 0 #1 September 25, 2002 Hey there everyone. I just got my PC120 on Monday evening and have played with it a little bit. I like it a lot and the size of it is GREAT. However, the things I don't like is how the flash comes up everytime you want to take a photo using the memory stick. I wish I could turn this off and have it be more selective. Also, I screwed that Kenko .5 lens on there and it really doesn't seem to be very wide. Is that on the "narrow" end of the wide-angle spectrum? Just curious. It's not like I'll be jumping with it anytime soon anyway. That is all. If I think of something else let me know.http://www.brandonandlaura.com
PhreeZone 20 #2 September 25, 2002 You CAN turn it off... its in the manual. Short version on the back is the flash button, press it til the lighting in the circle appears on your view finder. Thats also how you control all the flash settings... As for the lens... compare it outdoors with a wide area. It makes a slight difference at 5 feet put at 20 feet or more its a huge difference.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
AndyMan 7 #3 September 25, 2002 Phreezone is correct on the flash. Just hit the flash button a few times to turn it off. The .5 literally doubles the size of the frame, so I wouldn't say that its worthless. In terms of skydiving, yeah - the .5 definately is at the less-wide range of whats used in skydiving, and I think we told you that pretty clearly when you were looking for advice. I bought the .5 because I WANTED something at the narrow end of the wide-angle range, because I plan on getting a .3 later. In the thread were you were asking for recomendations, you specified that you didn't want any distortion. The .5 is one of the very few lenses out there that won't give ANY distortion. Look at the examples on this webpage. http://generationfreefly.com/diamond.3/ Even the .45 has a visible distortion of the roofline. The .5 won't give you any of that, which makes it a very nice lense. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
mountainman 0 #4 September 25, 2002 Hey guys. Thanks for the help with that Flash thing. As for the lens...I know that I wanted the recommendations and they were totally on. I didn't mean to send the vibe that I didn't like it, I just thought it would be a wider field of view. However, I have yet to try it outside. I was just using it yesterday to photograph a room in my house. Thanks for the tips! http://www.brandonandlaura.com

I took some photos yesterday (http://home.woh.rr.com/senorwren/photos.htm) at my school classroom. They look great! I can't wait to jump with the camera, but I will. I don't feel ready to do it yet. BTW, I have a freefly suit on the way, so that will be sweet. http://www.brandonandlaura.com
