askir 0 #1 September 9, 2002 Hey: Anyone out there jumped a flag in freefall, you know 2 guys hanging onto it while another fool takes the picture? (that would be me: the 3rd fool) I have been approached by two fellows wanting to do this and even though it is their responsibililty, I want to educate myself before I agree to film them. Things like a flag wrapped around my face while trying to deploy come to mind, would very much appreciate all the education available on this subject. Been jumping for 20 years and this will be a first for me. Also tips for them, I am sure they are doing their homework but a little extra wont hurt. tommy 0 #2 September 9, 2002 I shot a video of this earlier this year. There were 3 guys holding the flag. I wasn't prepared for how fast they fell... the flag pulled their upper bodies upward (from standard boxman) and it was more like they were kneeling after a bit. I just kept my distance. :) We're going to do it again soon, now that we all know what to expect. Here's a 'crappy still' I nabbed from the jump. The guy on the left is USMC, guy on right is Army Special Ops, center guy is his dad. -Tommy
