freefalle 0 #1 August 21, 2002 I am getting ready to buy a ring sight, Im am debating on the brent finley Concentric or the brent finley cross sight. There is a pretty significant difference in the price so I was hoping to get some advise as to wether or not I should spend the additional money on the Concentric. I am just starting to put all my gear together but hope to get good enough to eventually video 4 ways and tandems. Any advice would be appreicated. Thanks
quade 4 #2 August 21, 2002 Having owned both types over the years I have just one thing to say -- the concentric is REALLY cool. The issue is the one I pointed out in the article on my web site, precision. The cross sights are kind of vague, but usable. You get a fairly large sighting cross though and what I did when I flew one was to only use one of the arms of the cross as the actual sighting point. The concentric sight is really cool in that the smallest ring is pretty dang small and exact so you can have a lot more precision with it. Really helpful when trying to keep a -specific- spot in the center of the frame -- like the center grip of a Meeker during an exit. I can tell you one thing, if my current sight ever breaks there's not going to be a question which I'll be getting to replace it -- the concentric.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
Deuce 1 #3 August 21, 2002 I have the cross sight and I'ts working for me. I will upgrade to the concentric when I come across a chunk of dough, or maybe for Christmas. The cross works, but if you have the money (after buying all that other stuff -Bwah!) get the concentric.
