quade 4 #2 April 7, 2002 Unfortunely, the Sony site splits up into several directions. Do you have an EXACT web address for this camera. Searching the generic Sony.com site was futile.quadehttp://futurecam.com

Jimbo 0 #7 April 9, 2002 QuoteAnyone seen/used one of the new PC120's yet? They have that new "Bluetooth Technology".A friend of mine just picked up a 120, it's a nice camera and I'm sure it will be fine in the air. Regarding BlueTooth - I wouldn't get excited over that. It's a SLOW wireless protocol. Transferring video over BT would be nothing short of futile.-Jim
quade 4 #8 April 9, 2002 QuoteTransferring video over BT would be nothing short of futile.Hell, ya can't even transfer real time DV over 802.11 and that's ten times faster than Bluetooth.quadehttp://futurecam.com
mountainman 0 #9 April 9, 2002 Damn!Well, it looks like they have to figure out some better technology for that then.I wonder why they would put that into the camera with such bad performance numbers.JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook. Jimbo 0 #10 April 9, 2002 QuoteI wonder why they would put that into the camera with such bad performance numbers. There's nothing wrong with that camera, I only looked at it briefly, but it appears to be nothing more than this years version of the PC110 or PC100. It's a fine camera. The BT isn't for transferring DV from camera to camera or camera to computer, it's for uploading digital pictures (stills) from your memory stick to a subscription Sony service, and probably more than that it's for marketing purposes. The camera still comes with a firewire interface for camera -> camera or camera -> PC transfers.-Jim
mountainman 0 #11 April 13, 2002 Thanks for the clarification, Jim.I guess I thought that the main purpose was for DV transfer. After reading a lot more about it, I see I was in error.JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.
