Detachable booties

Recommended Posts

I am looking at possibly purchasing detachable booties. I've never had booties and would like some input on how well they work compared to regular built-in ones. The cost is around $60.00 plus shipping. I'm a recreational jumper with a jumpsuit (no booties) that should give me a couple seasons more. Why do I want to try booties? Just curious to see how they work and if I like the way I fly with them.

I have seen them a couple of times, and the owners were pleased with them. I don't remember any details though. You might also consider a permanent retro-fit as opposed to detachables. If I don't want my booties on I just fold them inside the leg and rubber-band them.

We make a retro-fit kit for our suits here at Flite Suit Company. They're called Bootie Zips. They are held in place with two long zippers and a securing tab at the top.

The proto-types that we built were very secure and flew just like they were built-in. We've had some requests over the years for this sort of thing and decided to give them a shot. They work, what else can I say?

For there you have been, and there you long to return..."
