sinker 0 #1 February 21, 2003 Anyone out there have advice about which harness/container is best for big boys? Is there any difference other than personal preference? I'm 6'1" and weigh 230. With all gear on, I'm looking at an exit weight of 260. Are all harness/containers created equal regarding this exit weight? rigging65 0 #2 February 21, 2003 I'm actually a bit bigger than you are, so don't worry about being a big boy, there are lots of us out there!Pretty much any rig will work just fine for you, although, technically, you are overloaded on many TSO'd rigs available right now. Considering there is a safety factor of about 10 built into most systems, you shouldn't have a problem. My personal favorite is the Infinity, but really just about anything that works for all those "little people" will work just fine as well! Have fun! darkwing 5 #4 February 21, 2003 I agree with what the others said. You'll probably find happiness on pretty much any modern rig. fwiw, I'm shorter, and a little lighter, and I love my Infinity. -- Jeff My Skydiving History

AndyMan 7 #8 February 22, 2003 I'm a sorta big boy, but used to be a much bigger boy. The only rig I've ever owned is a Javelin. It works well. HOWEVER. Back when I was a REAL big boy, I jumped an Inifinity for a while. You can get them in truely ludricrous sizes. In fact, I even saw one with a formerly used SET 400 as a main for big students. Infinities seems to scale up very well. If I didn't know better, I'd say that the Inifinity was really designed FOR bigger guys... _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. skymedic 0 #10 February 22, 2003 trust me...I am probably the larger....I have a high exit weight...as far as getting out to archway...I still need to work on some stuff...lack of cash being the biggest issue... sinker 0 #11 February 22, 2003 well, if you have a high exit weight, I mean higher than mine which is upwards of 260, then if we ever get to jump together I won't be the one fighting to hug the beachball and float. What a change that will be. m -the artist formerly known as sinker
AndyMan 7 #12 February 22, 2003 I did a two way belly jump with skymedic once, the average speed was over 130. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

Kris, are you in on this? Marc? WFFC would seem to be the time and place, right? Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them? Like you even have to ask, Jack. I am so there. At Quincy 2K there was a group organizing no-jumpsuit anvil-ways. We need to bring that back to Rantoul. We should get a base locked in and see how many others we can get in on it as whackers and such.
