murphyka 0 #1 January 25, 2006 Hey Everyone, I just wanted to get the word out to all jumpers that the 3rd Annual 4-way Scrambles Competition has been scheduled for Saturday, February 25th at Skydive Spaceland. Please mark your calendars and plan for some fun! This is a great way to get newer jumpers involved in the discipline and keep our RW pool of jumpers thriving! Please encourage as many new jumpers to participate. I will post more information when it becomes available. If you plan to attend, please email me at KMurphy3@houston.rr.com or send me a PM. Thanks!Blue Skies!!! Kimmy
gemini 0 #2 January 29, 2006 So who's going to be on the big guy 4-way scrambles team this year? Last year's team was ballistic! But they seemed to have the best time. That's what I really like about this event. Everyone regardless of skill can participate and learn from world class RW jumpers. Heard a rumor that Anomaly may pick up a belly 4th and compete. Love to see those vids. So much to learn, so little time... Blue skies, Jim
murphyka 0 #3 January 29, 2006 I think I will have to protest if they just happen to get drawn for the same team. I do believe that it is time that they strut their stuff in the 4-way arena and prove themselves as well-rounded skydivers (and I don't mean that in the aerodynamic sense).Blue Skies!!! Amanduh 0 #4 January 30, 2006 How many jumps estimated / price for the day? I'm interested in getting back on my belly this season and this has got to be a really good learning experience (through what i've heard from others who have participated)
murphyka 0 #5 February 6, 2006 Here is more information: Cost is $140 for the event. This includes 6 jumps and covers the camera slot and fees. Please have this amount on your account in manifest before the event begins. The official meet time will be 8:00 AM with the announcement of teams and dive draw. Please be ready to go on a short call at 8:30. There will be a short team building seminar and big way briefing at the end of the day following the event given by World Team member Tom Jenkins. Please stick around for some very useful information. On Sunday, Tom will be organizing bigger ways for those who are interested. We will be working on some of the key basics of bigways and build up to some more challenging dives. If you have any questions about the event, please feel free to email me at Murphyka@dropzone.com or send me a PM.Blue Skies!!! Kimmy
