pr0ject42 0 #3 November 4, 2005 Holy sh-t! That is bad ass. How would you creep or walk the head down stuff? I'd say that would be very possible in the Eloy tunnel. I also see freeflyers staring to wear full-faced helmets if they are going to be that close doing transitions. Still, that is just sick! Hats off Camera people are going to have to really work their asses off to really show the formations to judges though.
UDSkyJunkie 0 #4 November 7, 2005 "The" future of 4-way? probably not. A future freefly discipline at nationals? very likley. Completely badass, and a true evolution of the sport in general? Unquestionably! And I'm not a freefly guy at all (for now). I give you guys a lot of credit for developing the sport... I've been wondering when freefly would start doing true sequential. Not to say there's anything wrong with the current freefly format, but I've always preferred something judged more objectively."Some people follow their dreams, others hunt them down and beat them mercilessly into submission." jverley 1 #5 November 7, 2005 As the sport evolves, I can imagine a combining of disciplines. I think it would be an interesting nationals to have only one 4-way competition that involved: 3 rounds of traditional belly fly 3 rounds of compulsory Freefly 2 rounds of CRW 2 rounds of hybrid Or some other combination. It would truly find the best overall skydivers, not necessarily the best at their specialty,John Arizona Hiking Trails

(all while wearing a wingsuit, or naked, I'm not sure which yet) But one way to make it impossible nowadays - "Make the competitors spot their own load" that would reduce the eligible participant base to less than 10% of the total skydiver population right off ... They dumped almost the entire pass off the dropzone, fortunately I was on a second pass and I landed right at the landing dropzone. The spot looked slightly long even from the exit (was waiting for people to exit, so had no opportunity to jump sooner..), but I had a preplanned 5K open so I took it.
