diablopilot 2 #1 October 5, 2005 Anyone who goes low NEEDS to continue to try to get back in untill the pre planed break off......any other option is totaly unsafe....---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. rhys 0 #2 October 5, 2005 surely tracking like a mo-fo perpendicular to jump run, untill the planned opening height is just as safe? but getting back up to the formation is the right thing to do?"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
diablopilot 2 #3 October 5, 2005 Problem with that theory is the rest of the group has no idea where you are, and you have no idae where they are when you are deploying.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. goose491 0 #4 October 5, 2005 Quotesurely tracking like a mo-fo perpendicular to jump run, untill the planned opening height is just as safe? It is not just as safe because nobody knows where you are. How about this? What if you're not the only one? You're on a 10 way, you go low and you can't get back up. You give up and take off. Your buddy does the exact same thing a few seconds later.... read: the EXACT same thing. Of course, what are the chances right? Unnacceptable, that's what they are. I like to do a head count when I can, at break off. If I don't see everyone I was jumping with, I get really nervous for a few seconds until I clear my air. Even then, my spidy-sense tingles as I deploy . My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
