Rdutch 0 #1 February 3, 2003 Im learning to pack reserves, right now. One step towards one day getting my ticket. For practice I opened a rig I had sitting around for about 2 years. It has a pd126 reserve in it. After removing and inspecting the canopy it was in excellent shape and I would have no fear of jumping it (After looking at it, not before). The only problem I have is it is extremely wrinkled. So much the slider has trouble holding shape. Im wondering if there is any good way to get the wrinkles out? I thought of putting it in my bathroom, and turning the shower on for a few minutes, is this a good/bad idea. It still packs up good, but it would be a lot nicer pack job if it had less wrinkles. Thanks Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

riggerrob 643 #3 February 4, 2003 It is possible to iron the wrinkles out of canopy fabric, just keep your iron on low heat. Why you would want to is another question. Like most rigger apprentices, you are trying too hard to be too perfect. Eventually you will learn what is important and what is insignificant. Wrinkles in fabric are insignificant.
