freefalling together....8-way

Hey-
had such a riot on my last jump

-because of the way the organizer designed it. He opened freefalling together book and announced-loudly.........
"29-38-94-1-hut"
Everyone replied "what?????" and he said "thats the dive" look at the book, were on load 5- be ready to dirt dive after load 4 takes off." He left the list of names beside the book and had written "29-38-94-1 hut" in huge.

29- we launched donut base from porter- 2 floaters docked back of donut (filling corners with one hand grip and one leg) 2 divers docked the same on opposite side.
38- base turned to opposed diamond while pods docked on each side.
94- open accord to 1- star

Dirt dive went so smooth as everyone had a chance to check out the book and choose a slot- I chose base cause it was a donut launch. We got thru the dive like pro's except for 2nd point (38) 1 of our pod's built before base- so got a dirty look- so next 38 just before break off -they improved. Also 1 diver got rude awakening (donut base falls slower..)

Yee ha! was a breeze to remember when logging-
29-38-94-1-hut (look in book!)

I wish that someone with this book would chop the binding and PDF the thing. It would be so nice to have when organizing jumps. I have some idea but I don't know enough formations for the odd sizes and I hate standing around waiting for someone to think of something and fumbling through it.

I mean its sort of a copyright violation but the book is out of print. There isn't any way to get it anymore.


If anyone with the book is willing to do that (or the copy that they have is already falling apart) I would love a pdf copy. PM me.




p.s. Most copy machines that can send email can create PDFs from thier auto document feeder, if you didn't know that.

I'd love one too. A year or so ago I tried to locate the books, wanting to buy. I did find someone close enough to the author who said that they were trying to get another publication run, but never heard after that. pdf's would be great.

Editions Para-Graphe 1992, is copyright- 2nd edition Freefalling together 1, and is no longer published. I believe there was a 3rd. book after this with the actual inters...blocks...

I have a program I can draw a man in- then just copy and paste him to design all the numbers in the book from 2-way till 20-way...and publish them online as .jpg for people to copy & print, staple together their own book. Unsure if that would be an infringement on the copyright of Para-Graphe??

THey don't make it anymore. I get calls for them all the time. SOme enterprising soul should put one together and sell it.

For the record. The formations you posted there are inthe dive pool. No need for Freefalling to get that. Just go to the USPA web site and print the FAI dive pool.

Someone told me that Skydiving magazine sells these.

After a long while I did get a copy. Not from Skydiving but from someone. If anyone is looking for the book i would try calling Skydiving.

They have copies at the ParaConcepts, the gear store at Skydive Chicago. I'm heading out there this weekend, I'll find out price info.

FYI, we copied one a few years ago. It cost us $20 by the time we copied the pages and had it bound. We didn't bother trimming it, so it's an 8.5 x 11 book...not nearly as convenient as the original. I think I have all the pages in jpeg format on my home computer.

I am so happy that Freefalling together is finally available again. A couple of years ago I searched in vain for one. I ordered mine today from Skydiving.
