flymysky 0 #1 February 1, 2003 Does anyone know who can fix the bootee on a Symbiosis RW suit? The rubber of one bootee has completely torn on the underside all the way to where it is sewn to the top material. I think it will have to be completely replaced and the shipping won't be cheap if I send it back to Symbiosis.
mewing120 0 #2 February 1, 2003 Buy a $3.00 tube of Shoe Goo and smear it all over . Works like magic, and is very tough when dry. I completely coated the underside of my bev suit when I bought it. Ora Vivo
SkySlut 0 #3 February 1, 2003 Go with the ShuGoo or if you are too lazy and don like killing brain cells with chemicals...you shold be able to give it to a rigger...I have sent 100s of suits to Terry Pike in Deland. He does it all the time.
gemini 0 #4 February 1, 2003 We've really been lucky in Houston and Spaceland. One of the new jumpers is a wiz with a sewing machine and has done a fantastic job with our booties. They come back better than the originals. Some of the people want even better booties with shoe soles instead of leather. There is a local shoe shop that has done several of the jobs and they are great too. You might check with locals in your area and be surprised by the expertise you find like we were. flymysky 0 #5 February 1, 2003 Thanks everyone, some good ideas. I'm thinking maybe a rubber patch and then some ShuGoo over it should work fine.
mewing120 0 #6 February 2, 2003 depending on the extent of the tear, the shoe goo is all you'll need. it is very durable. I just is a little slick if you land on wet grass Ora Vivo
