billvon 3,130 #1 March 28, 2004 The tunnel is really addictive. It's very easy to choose one thing to work on and spend 10 solid minutes working on that one thing, whether it's body position, back ins, presents, 'correct' grip taking etc. I have a lot of really bad habits that come from learning to skydive in 1991 and then concentrating on big-way. It's going to take a lot of work on my part to unlearn some of that, but then again, when you can get 20 minutes of freefall at a time it's a lot easier. Right now the tunnel is doing a Meeker Monday deal, which is 10 minutes for $117. We've done that a few times and it's great; informal but you learn a lot. Call the main tunnel number for that one. There are some really good coaches available; we've worked with Christy and Nina and they've both been excellent. There's a tunnel camp coming up with Gary Beyer and Mark Kirkby doing coaching in June. I think that's $2000 for two hours of one-on-one. You can PM UKfschick for info on that. And of course if you want to set up your own schedule with your own coach you can do that too. That's probably what Amy and I will end up doing. I'm trying to let my arm recover from Thailand (still sore) but once it does I'm gonna have to start going up there more regularly. It's too good a training tool to not use. Ron 10 #2 March 28, 2004 Hey this is getting really close to being an Ad Bill. I have been a tunnel flier and advocate since 1998. Amazing. My next team will use the tunnel almost more than real jumping."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers,

I am almost better at 4-way than you. My Mercury Sable is almost faster than a Ferrari. I shall use that a lot. Thanks. ... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
