jumper03 0 #1 November 13, 2003 I'm moving to Tucson in the next few weeks (maybe 1st of Jan at the latest) and I want to do hard core RW. All of my jumps have been RW and I'm getting to where I can fall with other people in an okay fashion. My questions - where's the best place around for a fledging 4-way team member to meet up with other fledglings and veterans to learn, train and have a blast? Anyone in the area willing to jump? I know Airspeed is in the area - but I gotta fall before I can fly. Additionally - I'm thinking of getting a new RW suit too. Right now I've got a Pit Special from Tony and fall like a Banshee headed to hell even when doing my impersonation of a board. Fine for later when speed matters, but I need to slow down and learn to fly better first I think. What suit do you have and why do you like (or not like it)? Thanks for any help and I can't wait to get back to the desert! Blue Skies, JumpScars remind us that the past is real
BikerBabe 0 #2 November 13, 2003 Eloy is definitely the place to be. Airspeed is there, true, but there are tons of other 4-way teams that train there as well. Not to mention a tunnel opening sometime in the future, skills camps, and the best coaching you can get. If your looking to do basic body flight stuff first, ether head to the tunnel or call Skydive AZ and ask for Stephan. He's an incredible coach and an amazing flyer...he'll help you out in that area. As for a team, the best thing I ever did was start going to tunnel camps and skills camps in order to meet people. Good luck, and I'm sure I'll see you around...my team trains there too!Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!
