Unstable 9 #1 July 14, 2003 I've been playing around with the Idea of formng a RW team for some time now, it's time to stop thinking about it and just do it. I am trying to form a Kansas State University RW team to take to Collegiates (sp?). I am puttig together a pool of Relative workers at KSU who would be interested - and finding experienced Relative workers who would be willing to coach us. I know a lot of you have been here before. Any advice that can help me turn my idea into reality? Things to watch out for or be careful of? Blue skies,=========Shaun ==========
happythoughts 0 #2 July 14, 2003 Plan. When you find the people to do 4-way with you, you will need to establish some things. Goals - What is each persons goal? Trophies, improvement? Committment - How much effort in to acheiving those goals? 5 jumps every second Saturday? Coaching -? Time limit to be a team - 8 months? A year? (no more than one year) Number of competitions to attend? Tunnel time? Money - 4-way is expensive. Add up the number of practice jumps, coaching costs, travel to competitions, tunnel time. Make sure that one member won't drop out half way through. At the end of the committed time period, plan to have a nice sit down dinner and discuss if you wish to continue to be a team. Set a date. Revisit all the above issues and see what has changed.

Unstable 9 #4 July 15, 2003 Thanks for the ideas. I am in a situation where I don't know the level of committent from one member at our DZ, and sitting down for a fireside chat would bring some issues into the light. This is especially hard when my home DZ is basically a Freefly DZ - not many people interested in goold old-fashioned 4 ways.=========Shaun ==========
