how should a suit fit?

Recommended Posts

I just got a used RW suit and was wondering how it should fit? I already know it's tight, but how tight should it be? it's to the point that I can't put my leg through my leg straps if I try to kick them back there. I have to first put my legs through the straps then the arms, which is kinda wierd. Also since there are no zippers on the booties I can't easily take the booties off/on to save the wear on them when walking around.
It's a bev fx competition type RW suit, so i'm not sure if they are usually like that or not. Any info would be great. I plan on jumping it before I decide to sell it or not. thanks

to tight.... you should be able to arch, if you can't bring your leg back you can't arch... the booties them selves may actually be to small limiting how much you can move in them. Bev makes mods FAST... so it would be good to get it fixed

The fit depends on your body type. Fat boys (like me) get a looser fit, tall skinny boys get a snug fit. It sounds to me though like yours is too tight. It shouldn't restrict your movements, especially de-arching, and shoulder movement. Maybe you could get some spandex inserts that will keep it snug (if you need it snug) but still allow range of motion.

Jumps suits can get expensive fast. If your used suit is in need of a lot of mods maybe a good new custom one would be best in the long run. Of course it is a matter of $$$. my first jump suit was a set of coveralls from sears. I seem to buy a new rw suit every other year, and wear them untill they cannot be repaired any more. Email Jim Srtaight jts@teleport.com ,he is local to you. Which is nice because it seems that no matter who measures you it always needs mods.:P
