AiRpollUtiOn 0 #1 May 15, 2002 On an RW2 last weekend, I seemed to loose all pressure on my left bootie, it was just flapping in the wind, without actually taking pressure, goes without saying I lost my companion for a while, then all of a sudden everything went back to normal.I checked my gear (including proper fitting of my booties) 1 minute before exit and they were well in place at the time.Has anyone experienced something like this before??? Will jump for beer, bs AiRpollUtiOn
steve1 5 #2 May 15, 2002 I just bought another jump suit and am experiencing the same problem. I'm no expert on this, but I believe their should be pressure on your booties when you extend your toes. My problem is that both jumpsuit legs are a too long. I'm going to get my wife's sewing machine out and see if I can't shorten the legs somehow. The grippers are in the way, so this might be easier said than done. Steve
Michele 1 #3 May 15, 2002 Hi, Steve1QuoteI'm going to get my wife's sewing machine out and see if I can't shorten the legs somehow. Isn't there a spot just below the knee where there are no grippers, and you could take a "flap", fold it over, and run a quick seam to absorb the excess material? Also, possibly right at the ankle would be another spot to make a flap seam.Ciels and Pinks-MicheleIf you really want to, you can seize the day; if you really want to, you can fly away...~enya~
weid14 0 #4 May 15, 2002 easiest way to do it is to actually fold the toe of the bootie to shorten it.
steve1 5 #5 May 16, 2002 Weid 14,Wonderful idea. You may have just prevented my ruining a Tony Suit. All it needed was a tuck or two in the toe area. I'm now heading down to do a little sewing. I owe you big! Steve
skyflybabe 0 #6 May 17, 2002 I have a new suit with cordura mega booties and although they are the same size as my previous mega booties, the cordura feels different, like it flaps about!!I think it will take a little more time to get used to them!
