goose491 0 #2 January 17, 2003 I too would like to see what the boomerang looks like on a human head. See my thread about Bonehead Mindwarp in talkback and in gear and rigging. I was asking for photos but no takers Pics of helmets on the internet are deceaving without a head inside. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
darkvapor 0 #3 January 17, 2003 I got my new Bev suit today. Took a whole 3 days to make. Anyways, since I was going to take a few pics of the suit, I thought I would throw on my bonehead boomerang and take a few more. Pictures didn't turn out that well, but they aren't bad. I will also add a few comments about the boomerang. I think its a good helmet. It's very light, and very comfortable. Vision is excellent, and the internal audible compartment has its ups and downs. You don't have to worry about your audible getting knocked off, but the big lump makes it look weird. It does fog easily. I ended up drilling another row of holes in the bottom of the face shield. Helps a bit, but since there was no airflow when I was taking these pics, I was foggin up pretty bad. I'm trying to locate some anti-scratch anti-fog coated polycarb and making my own new lens. I kinda located a few suppliers, but I'm not sure if they can get me the small amount I need. If anyone else wants to help me in this pursuit, please do. The faceshield is also permanently fixed, so you don't have the luxury of flipping it up during the plane ride, but at the same time, you dont have to worry about it coming open during the jump. The lens is good strong polycarb that can take a good beating before it will fail, unlike some other helmets that have a thin flexible plastic sheet that just keeps the wind off your face. I wish it had a ventilation port over the mouth so that my hot breath will be directed forward and out, instead of back inside the helmet. Other than that, its a good helmet, and I would recommend it.
CanuckInUSA 0 #4 January 17, 2003 I know I'm not supposed to do this, but there is a slightly used boomerang helmet with about 60 jumps on it for sale (and motivated seller) in the DZ.COM classified ads. Check it out if you're interested. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
hookitt 1 #5 January 18, 2003 Hey.. I know that helmut. It's a nice helmut. He always jumps his camera so I think that's why he's getting rid of it. Good call.My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
