shah269 0 #1 December 20, 2010 Ground launching. My parents live in upstate NY, about an hour north of Albany. And if you are familiar with that region their ski season is usually a few months long due to the total lack of natural snow. It's actually too cold to snow! So their season is usually done in April. Now here is the questions. 1) Can you ground launch a 210 Triathlon? 2) Is it a good skill to have? 3) Where is a good place to look for info on the subject? -my bad wrong spot to post it!Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay. shah269 0 #5 December 20, 2010 QuoteToo cold to snow in NY huh? Must be hard on all those ski resorts. It can be "too cold" ie dry to snow. So they make the fake stuff. Which is fine but not as good. North and east of where my parents live gets more snow and is actually a bit warmer. I was thinking going up in the early fall right after the local mountain closed and viging the "face" a go. But then I realized.....eh...I'm going to have to climb up there....not once, not twice.....but enough times for me to rethink the idea. But who knows? And from looking at various pictures on google, the equipment apprears diffetent and the wings much smaller. I will be on a 210. Nice idea but....eh....no thanks!Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay. But would suggest you see the replies to this post... as to why its not a good idea. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3930432 Quote 3) Where is a good place to look for info on the subject? http://www.speed-flying.com or Jim Slaton's GLC website.http://www.speed-flying.com - No:1 for the worldwide Speed-Riding Community
